New rules for non-EU citizens studying English in the UK

Introduction
Thousands of students come to the UK every year to learn or improve their English. This type of educational tourism has long provided a boost to the UK economy as arriving students pay their colleges for their courses and spend money in Britain’s shops and at many popular tourist destinations. But new government rules are making it more difficult for students from outside of the European Union to study here.
Every summer, Bournemouth, Brighton and London, to name three popular destinations for overseas students, transform themselves into multicultural, international towns where Russians, French, Spanish, Italians, Saudi Arabian, Chinese and Central Asian students descend en masse to the plethora of private language colleges.
